This active volunteer Advisory Board is a subcommittee of the SIRSS Board of Directors. It provides guidance and leadership for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and all other services for children and families in Jackson and Perry Counties, advocates for services that are needed but unavailable, gives feedback that improves service, and raises funds through Bowl for Kid’s Sake. Its members include representatives from law enforcement, probation/court, social services, education, clergy, government, business, parents and youth themselves.
Active Advisory Board involvement is one way community members can provide leadership in helping community children, youth and families. Persons interested in serving on the Advisory Board are invited to contact the Youth Services Director at 618-457-6703 x 228.
