Crisis HELP

Crisis help through Southern Illinois Regional Social Services (SIRSS) is a vital part of the community’s emergency response system.  Skilled staff respond at any time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year) to mental health emergencies for persons of all ages and to calls for service to youth who have run away from home. 

Services are most frequently provided in hospital emergency rooms, at police stations and at schools.  SIRSS goes out on emergency calls approximately 600 times annually; 200 times for children and 400 times for adults.
