Adult Counseling Services Internships
Adult Counseling Services accepts students for a practicum placement who have achieved a master’s degree in a social service field and who are working toward a doctoral degree in Psychology or Educational Psychology. Students must have a prior minimum of one year of supervised training experience providing therapy. Students should first contact their university supervisor and obtain a letter of recommendation for a community placement from him/her. Substance Abuse and Recovery Services Internships
Substance Abuse Recovery Services will accept practicum and intern students working toward their M.S./M.A./M.S.W. degree in a formal counseling program. Close supervision and training provided by CADC. Students must have prior approval from their university supervisor with a recommendation from him/her.
Substance Abuse Recovery Services will also take practicum and intern students who have completed their Master's degree in a counseling/human services program and are working on their Ph.D./Ed.D./Rh.D. in Psychology, Educational Psychology, Rehabilitation, Social Work or Health Education with a realistic work experience. Community Support Services Internships
Community Support Services will accept practicum and intern students working toward their M.S./M.A./M.S.W. degree in a formal counseling program that includes case management, assessment and training. Students should go through their university supervisor and have a recommendation from him/her.
Community Support Services will take practicum and intern students who have completed their Master's degree in a counseling/human services program and are working on their Ph.D./Ed.D./Rh.D. in Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Social Work.
Community Support Services will accept Bachelor's level students for case management Internships, and special project work. For more information, please contact the CIS Manager at ext. 234.
Youth Services Internships
Youth Services welcomes students who are seeking opportunities and experience as volunteers, interns, and practicum students. Opportunities include work with children and youth aged 3-17 in mentoring, school-based prevention, crisis intervention, delinquency intervention, child welfare, independent living, substance abuse intervention, and mental health assessment/counseling. Administrative internships are also available.
Students working toward a Bachelor's Degree are eligible to apply for opportunities in mentoring, crisis intervention, child welfare and independent living services.
Students who have acquired a Bachelor's Degree and are working toward a Master's Degree are eligible to apply for opportunities in mentoring, crisis intervention, delinquency intervention, child welfare and independent living services.
Students who have acquired a Master's Degree in a human services field and who are working toward a doctorate are eligible to apply for opportunities in mentoring, school-based prevention, crisis intervention, delinquency intervention, child welfare, independent living services, substance abuse intervention, and mental health assessment/counseling services.
Most students who become volunteers, interns or practicum students are enrolled by Psychology, Educational Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Administration of Justice or Health Education programs. Opportunities for students from any field to volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister to a child aged 6-12 are always available.

Information Technology Internships (IT)
SIRSS is a high-technology medical services agency that relies extensively on modern computing services to achieve its goals. Qualified information technology Interns will have an opportunity to acquire real world experience in systems and network management, IP telephony, wireless communications, medical information management systems, and end-user helpdesk support.
