SIRSS Annual Community Writes Survey In providing quality services to the community it is important to receive regular input from agencies and organizations with whom we regularly associate. The Community Writes questionnaire is distributed each May to assist in this process. These organizations are primarily located in Jackson, Perry, and Williamson Counties and include health care providers, schools, government agencies, and most numerous, other social service agencies. Respondents are asked to rate the agency on a number of issues including access to services, quality of staff, and reputation in the community. Results from the most recent survey completed in May, 2006 are summarized below: Community Writes Survey Results – May 2006 ▪ There was a 49% response rate with the vast majority of respondents coming from Jackson County. ▪ For the fifth consecutive year scores indicate that respondents are generally satisfied with the experiences they have with SIRSS. ▪ One hundred percent of respondents across counties either know a lot or have some information about SIRSS. ▪ Ten items received the highest score in the history of the use of the survey tool, including the quality of professional staff, quality of the services provided, how they are treated when they contact the agency, and overall rating of the agency as a behavioral healthcare provider to name a few. ▪ The item with the largest improvement in score was regarding the ability to schedule an appointment when needed. ▪ The lowest score was related to the facility itself which also had the largest decline in mean score. | future Home of SIRSS ___________________
